If You Leave Me, Can I Come With You? with Misti B

“If You Leave Me, Can I Come with You?” is the rally cry, the anthem, the reason-to-be for codependents everywhere. It’s also the title of author, filmmaker, and recovering codependent, Misti Lee B.’s popular book. Join us for this very funny, often poignant, and always-spot-on reflection on codependency. Misti will share stories from her journey from L.A. to Aspen to a trailer on the beach and along the way offer nuggets of recovery wisdom that only someone who has seen it all can deliver.

During this engaging session of #MentalHealthMonday Misti will help us learn:

  • Codependency is powerlessness literally over everything—people, places, and things.
  • We can run from everything but ourselves—and when we finally run to ourselves, we start our recovery.
  • Telltale signs we are too strongly attached to a person, place, or thing.
  • How to start letting go so we free-up space to grab onto the one thing that will save us—and what that one thing is.

ABOUT MISTI

Misti B. is a writer, producer, and seasoned traveler on the arduous road of recovery. Her humorous looks at recovery include the title If You Leave Me Can I Come With You? Which shines some light into normally very dark spaces. Prior to venturing on the road to recovery, Misti had a successful career in entertainment writing for stage, live theater, and film. These experiences, combined with a highly dysfunctional upbringing, provide fodder for her gritty but inspiring recovery stories.

We believe that when women heal, families heal, and communities do too.
