“We are absolutely thrilled to be partnering with BetterHelp so that we can help provide accessible, individualized, therapeutic support anytime, anywhere. We are grateful to be aligned with an organization that truly believes in a responsive and client-centered approach to recovery and that empowers its users to receive support in a way that best suits their lifestyle, needs, and respective recovery pathways and patchworks.”
~ Susan Carter, SHE RECOVERS® Foundation Executive Director ~
“The vision for BetterHelp really began when I was facing significant challenges and I needed help. While searching for the right type of help for myself, I spoke with other people in similar situations. I noticed that many of them would greatly benefit from professional guidance, but they faced obstacles in getting the help they need. They felt that the current therapy solutions are too expensive, time-consuming, inconvenient, and inaccessible. Many people were also concerned by the lack of privacy and the stigma around it. I am honored and humbled by this opportunity to now be a part of improving the quality of life for those in or seeking recovery, and help make a difference in peoples’ lives and support them in reaching a healthier and happier state of mind.”
~ ALON MATAS, BETTERHELP FOUNDER ~
SHE RECOVERS is grateful to BetterHelp for making a $100,000 donation in support of our mission in 2021.

UC Berkeley Study of the Effectiveness of BetterHelp
A 2017 study out of the Berkley Well-Being Institute found that e-counseling, or the provision of counseling services delivered in a virtual platform, has both increased access to mental healthcare and has improved the mental health and well-being of participants. The study indicated that patients who used Better Help experienced an improvement in symptoms comparable to those experienced from face-to-face counseling. Most users also reported that Better Help was more convenient and affordable than traditional counseling. To learn more and to see the complete findings of the study, click below.
