Life Healing Center’s residential mental health and mood disorder program supports each client to achieve their therapeutic goals and experience the benefits of emotion regulation. LHC believes that each person has the capacity to live a full and satisfying life, so they focus on helping people increase their overall wellness, rather than simply treating the symptoms they’re experiencing.

For people who are taking medication as part of their care plan, LHC offers medication management services, which are delivered by qualified psychiatric providers. When clients begin residential treatment for a mood disorder, an addiction, or another mental health concern, they typically meet with a psychiatrist for a full evaluation and continue meeting with a psychiatric provider as needed throughout the residential program experience. A qualified team of registered nurses is also available through round-the-clock nursing support for clients.

New Directions for Women serves clients from all backgrounds, ages, and situations, including pregnancy and women with children. They understand that women are more likely to experience trauma or other social risk factors that affect women disproportionately, and that there are underlying issues when it comes to the development of an addiction. Thus, the program strives to get to the root of the disorder rather than treat it at a surface level. An all-women environment allows clients to address complex issues and experience vulnerability on a level that promotes long-term recovery. Wrap-around substance use treatment services include Detox, Residential, Partial-Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and Sober Living located on a serene campus, near the beautiful Back Bay in Newport Beach in Southern California. SHAMEBOOTH is the brainchild of artist and interventionist, Paula Williams. A graduate from The Art Institute of Chicago, Paula believes secrecy and judgment are what make shame thrive. She created the Shamebooth to bring people’s shame stories out into the open, meet them with empathy, and banish shame for good. Paula’s desire to help others evolved as the result of years of self medicating with alcohol and pills, and a history of mental health issues, which has led Paula to recovery. This experience has radically shifted her perspective towards others who are suffering and are full of shame, terrified to ask for help.
