Women’s Experiences in Recovery Research Study

SHE RECOVERS® is proud to support and help recruit participants for Canisius College’s “Women’s Experience of Recovery” research study. As a person in long term recovery who also just happens to be a researcher with a PhD in Health Care Policy, studies such as this are very close to my heart.

A deep bow of gratitude to SHE RECOVERS Trusted Advisors Dr. Kimberly Bernosky and Dr. Onawa LaBelle for championing this effort that will no doubt inform a system of care that supports individualized pathways and patchworks of recovery, and help to foster a new vision of recovery that is inclusive, equitable, women-centric and empowering for all.

PROCEDURES

If you agree to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete a fifteen to thirty minute online survey. In the online survey, we will ask about your background, recovery, personality, behavior, and relationships. It is recommended that you take the survey in one sitting, but you will have one week to complete the survey in its entirety. You may return to the survey on the same computer or device you started the survey on to continue. Please take this survey in a location that is private to protect your confidentiality.

POTENTIAL BENEFITS TO PARTICIPANTS AND/OR TO SOCIETY

By participating in this study, you may gain insight into your relationships, recovery experiences, and personal development. Further, the information you provide will be beneficial for the general study of women’s recovery. The results of this study will contribute to the development of a scientific article and will provide information about women’s recovery experiences that can inform individuals, community stakeholders, and healthcare providers as they work towards redefining recovery, building a system of care that supports individualized pathways and patchworks of recovery, and fostering a new vision of recovery that is inclusive, equitable, and empowering for all.

By participating in this study you will also have a chance to win a $50 gift card to the SHE RECOVERS Swag Shop.
