Trauma Informed Yoga with Taryn

Anywhere, Anytime.

There has never been a more important time to have the ability to access trauma informed practices – from home. Our body carries so much stress and trauma – which makes SHE RECOVERS® Trauma Informed Yoga a beautiful compliment to your recovery patchwork. One of our intentions and guiding principles is, “Recovery is a journey to wholeness. We learn to take care of our body, mind, emotions and spirit.”

Practice SHE RECOVERS® Trauma Informed yoga with Taryn from the comfort of your own home and on your own schedule. Membership includes unlimited access to a nourishing library of Taryn’s recorded themed classes – with new content added every month.

The class library consists of classes varying from 5 – 60 minutes so you can select a class that works best for your schedule. Each class is a different recovery related theme – allowing you to choose the class that resonates most with what you need in that moment.

Your membership also invites the opportunity to widen your recovery community as you will have access to a private Facebook group.

As a gift from us, we would like you to try the program for one month for free! After that, the monthly membership is $19.99 per month – less than one drop in yoga class at a studio. Every dollar of that goes to the Foundation – to support our mission to connect, support and empower women in or seeking recovery.

Try the FREE ONE MONTH trial to see how it flows for you!

Why Yoga for Recovery?

Yoga is important because – as we state in one of our SHE RECOVERS Intentions & Guiding Principles – “Recovery is a journey to wholeness – we take care of our mind, body and spirit.”

In the west, we have become really good at addressing the mind and spirit when someone is on a path of recovery (talk therapy, 12 step programs, etc.),  and those are wonderful approaches but they don’t address the body.

We can talk about a traumatic experience – over and over and over again – and it will can help tremendously. But, unless we release the the experience from the body, illness, chronic fatigue, dis-ease, autoimmune disorders may manifest. We also need to heal the body from the stress we put in through prior to recovery.

Yoga is a pathway to holistic healing and recovery. Join Taryn as she takes you on a gentle, trauma-informed journey of exploration that will help heal your body, mind and spirit.

“Taryn possesses such an amazing energy that is warm, welcoming and inclusive to all. She has THE BEST voice! Since moving away from Victoria I’ve never found a yogi who measures up to her – SO EXCITED FOR HER VIDEOS! I can’t wait to bring her into my living room!”

Hi! I’m Taryn.

I am a founder of the SHE RECOVERS® Foundation (with my mama, Dawn Nickel.) I am in recovery from substance use disorder, trauma, disordered eating, self- harm, codependency and all of the things that manifested as those things; shame, low self- worth, low self- esteem and being afraid of using my voice.

Today, I know, for a fact, that everything I have been through – every heartbreak, addiction, trauma, insecurity – was to bring me to exactly where I am in this moment. I love recovery.

I am a Trauma Informed Yoga instructor, SHE RECOVERS® Coach, aromatherapist, dōTERRA Wellness Advocate, silversmith and am currently studying herbalism. Since I began teaching yoga in 2007, I have led over 40 yoga for recovery retreats (including a retreat at Kripalu), presented at several Yoga conferences, and have co-taught alongside Elena Brower. You can find my online SHE RECOVERS® Yoga classes HERE. Most recently, I created and taught the inaugural trauma informed SHE RECOVERS® Yoga Teacher Training Program and began hosting the SHE RECOVERS® Podcast.
