Collectively Learning About Psychological Trauma With Candace Alley

We are all recovering from something and many of us are recovering from many things, including trauma. Join us as SHE RECOVERS Coach Candace Alley, helps us learn about psychological trauma and how we can be trauma informed.

During this engaging session of #MentalHealthMonday Candace will help us learn:

  • What does it mean to be trauma informed?
  • Differences in acute, chronic, and complex trauma
  • BIG T vs little t traumas

Candace Alley is the founder and CEO of Trauma Resource Network and Alley Enterprises, Inc. & its subsidiaries, and co-founder of Project TIPSY.  Since 2013, Candace has also served as President of the Magnolia Place Homeowner’s Association (501[c]3). She has successfully tackled challenges, learned skills, and lead teams in a variety of environments from retail to health & wellness to social services to nonprofit which has provided her the ability to thrive as a leader. Candace is a driving force in the fields of Trauma, Peer Support, Health & Wellness Coaching, Harm Reduction, and Recovery.
Candace likes to say that she is “a human doing rather than a human being.” She finds personal joy and fulfillment in helping others, as well as teaching people how to help others. When asked if she would like to, someday, be a millionaire, her response is always a resounding, “I want to be able to positively touch millions of lives, especially those who live with challenges with mental health and substance use disorders, and that would make me a millionaire in my book.” Candace has shared her story and knowledge with thousands of women across the globe in an effort to help others understand that healing from trauma and recovery are possible. She spends much of her time encouraging others to live their best lives and to be the best versions of themselves that they can be. Unlike many in the wellness field, however, Candace doesn’t just talk, she walks the walk and lives a life of purpose and fulfillment.

We believe that when women heal, families heal, and communities do too.
